GreenBees is an International Solidarity Organisation set up in France in June 2007. Its goal is to defend and foster cultural diversity in various areas in the world.

Our action

We support local organisations, who have expressed a need, in setting up actions at school. These actions, aim to help children become aware of their cultural identity. There are 2 types of actions that we can set up:
- Workshops: We have developed frameworks of creative and youth-oriented workshops. They aim to introduce a different way of teaching, as well as to raise the children's interest for their culture, through acting, active participation to an exhibition, to a visit or to a discussion with a puppet. The topics are selected by the teachers. GreenBees brings the logistic and materials for the wor
kshop.
- Development projects: the aim is to continue the action after we have left. To this aim, a developing project is discussed on site, with our local partners. They take into account the existing structures, the weaknesses, the local financing networks, the importance of culture in the school programmes...

How do we act?

  1. We first contact local educational structures through a local not for profit organisation.

  2. A coordination team is set up with all local parties involved.

  3. A project (workshops or development project) is set up by the coordination team, that must fit into the school programme.

  4. The project is submitted to GreenBees, for validation and organisation.

  5. Arrival on site, organisation of the activity with the coordination team, and ideally parents and school teachers.

  6. The project is launched over a period of a few months to one year.

  7. Assessment of the achievements and follow-up of the action.

The four pillars of our action

  1. Cultural exchange

  2. Solidarity

  3. Openness

  4. Environmental awareness
