Financial supports

With the growing inequalities that can be seen in today's world, between different countries, regions, populations, the Picardie Regional Council has chosen to stand by international solidarity actions. They set up and support projects of public interest. The Regional Council aims to encourage financially charity initiatives from any active organisation in Picardie towards developing countries.

Through the Agence des Micro-Projets (office of microprojects), the European Guild (la guilde européenne du Raid) supports international solidarity projects set up by small and medium French organisations. Its expertise is well known, both by public or private protagonists, acting for international solidarity.

AFD is the Groupe Agence Française de Développement, a bi-lateral development finance institution established in 1941 that works on behalf of the French government.  Its mission is to finance development according to France’s Overseas Development Assistance policies.

AFD uses a wide and growing range of financial instruments to underwrite its funding activities.

Charity supports

The “UNESCO Associations, Centres and Clubs" are made up of people of all ages, all conditions and professions, which seek to spread the ideals of UNESCO and to contribute to the achievement of its objectives.

see La convention de partenariat signée avec la FFCU (Partnership agreement, in French, signed with the French Federation of UNESCO Clubs)

"Samba des 3 vallées" is our local partner in Cameroon. They aim to develop education, and economical progress in the village of Samba, in Cameroon. Based in Picardie, they also contribute to foster incultural exchanges, and a solidarity spirit.

Grupo Quilla is our local partner in Peru. Professionals in Education, very concerned by global education for all, advocate reading as a main vector towards knowledge. They have developped a learning methodology based on the promotion of reading, via cultural and artistic workshops.

See their 2009 educational programme

Club UNESCO Cege@ is our local partner in Mexico in the state of Guanajuato. This club was the first mexican organisation to join the UNESCO Clubs network in May 2006. It aims to promote the culture of peace, through tolerance and cultural diversity.

At the request of their Charity partners, responsible for development, the SCD recruits, trains and sends volunteers for 2-year contracts. It ensures the follow-up during the whole contract and helps them to integrate back to the European civil society when they return.

(This organization offered to support us with 2 two-year volunteering contracts, enabling us to work within a well-defined framework, with healthcare and pension…)

Tapori Tapori is a worldwide network of friendship between children of all backgrounds, founded and run by the anti-poverty non-governmental organization, the International Movement ATD Fourth World.
In Tapori, children learn from others who have daily lives very different than their own and invent a way of being together that includes everyone.

Messages of support

"Dear friends,

We have been very glad to hear about all the projects GreenBees are setting up, as we are when men and women get together to fight for a good and human cause. Your drawing contest on the topic of Cultural Diversity is a strong binding project, in the respect of all diversities. We are convinced that it will bring harmony and joy in the hearts and heads of children participating to this contest."

Huguette Redegeld, Vice-President ATD Fourth World
